The Ambassador Series
In our early years we developed an envied reputation for support and encouragement of all at local events. In 2023 we developed the Ambassador Series, the brain child of Club Ambassadors Mark Smith and Lindsay Hobden.
The series is specifically designed to enable members of the club to target a small number of predetermined local events in the knowledge that their club mates and supporters will also be present with the famous TRISudbury spirit of support and healthy club competition. The chosen events include a range of distances and will enable our coaching team to prepare programs to specifically target each event as apart of our regular training schedule.
Each member’s top three results from the six race series will be used to assess and recognise a series winner at the club’s annual ball and award ceremony, any combination of events or distances permissible.
All members need to do is select, enter and attend your events and, where possible, come and support your fellow members at those events you do not plan to race. We look forward to seeing the Red and Black army out in force at these events.
2025 Ambassador Series events
The Walden Triathlon, an early season sprint/super-sprint triathlon hosted by Walden Tri at the Lord Butler Fitness & Leisure, Saffron Walden on 4th May. This event is a long time club favourite and a great start to your competitive year.
Stradbroke Triathlon, hosted by Can But Tri in the 18th May offering a super-sprint and aquabike event at Stradbroke Pool and Leisure centre. this is a lovely, friendly event and a great entry level event.
The Culford Sprint Triathlon, hosted by Ipswich Triathlon Club at the imposing Culford School on 1st June. Don’t forget to visit the well stocked cake stall provided by the local church hall.
The Outlaw Holkham Half, an annual club weekend away at Holkham in North Norfolk on 5th-6th July. The first half distance event for many members based in the resplendent grounds of Holkham Hall. Also offers a half aquabike and a gravel sprint.
The Gosfield Lake Triathlon, sprint, standard, aquabike, aquathlon and duathlon distance events on 14th July and hosted by Born2Tri at the popular open water swimming venue used by many club members.
The Trifarm super-sprint and sprint, known as the equinox edition hosted at another local outdoor open water venue takes place on 7th September.
